Meet our Pastor - Reverend Greg Jewison

Our pastor is Rev. Greg Jewison. Greg worked without a salary for over two years, so that his vision of a new church in the De Pere area could be made real. Greg lives in De Pere. He and his wife are active volunteers in the community.

Greg is 47. In his twenty-three years of ministry, he served five congregations before launching New Hope Church. In 1985, at the age of 24, he was named Minister of Administration of the seventh largest church in our denomination, the 8,000-member Boston Avenue Church of Tulsa, Oklahoma. In the succeeding years, he also provided leadership to two other growing urban congregations in Tulsa and Oklahoma City.

He was recruited to transfer to Wisconsin, where he has served as Senior Pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church in Beaver Dam northeast of Madison, and then at First United Methodist Church of Green Bay.

Pastor Greg considers his primary gifts to be preaching, teaching, evangelism, and leadership. Here are some highlights from his ministry to date:

Greg graduated cum laude from Illinois Wesleyan University in 1983, with a degree in Finance and Insurance. He also graduated from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University on a merit scholarship, and was awarded the school’s highest honor in the study of New Testament Greek.

Greg is a native of Illinois, but he has been a lifelong Packers fan! His wife, Kerry, is a native of Arkansas, and is a pharmacist. They have one child, who is in elementary school.
