Children

Children and youth are a priority at New Hope – we want them to have a great time! We are a new church with mostly young families, and so there are plenty of special activities for children!

Sunday School classes are available for children, age two through eighth grade, during the 9:00 a.m. worship service.

Nursery – A nursery for infants, toddlers, and two-year-olds, is available during the 9:00 a.m. worship service weekly.

Preschool-Kindergarten – The preschool classroom offers a fun and creative church experience for age three through kindergarten. The children attend the first ten minutes of worship for singing and a Children’s Message by the pastor, and then proceed to their classrooms.

Grades 1-8 – The children attend the first ten minutes of worship for singing and a Children’s Message by the pastor. They then proceed to their classroom areas for a high-energy experience of worship, drama, video, games, crafts, and Christian education.

Parents and Kids Night – Come join our monthly gathering of parents, kids, and youth on the second Friday of every month. We eat pizza (and salad) at 5:45 p.m. Starting at 6:30 p.m., children and youth participate in fun activities, including games, crafts, and movies. Parents meet at 6:30 p.m. for informative and fun discussions about parenting and family relationships.

Can my children stay with me in the worship service?

Certainly. We understand that children can be apprehensive about being separated from their parents, especially during the first couple of occasions that they come to someplace new. Your children are welcome in our worship services. You might want to bring along some quiet activities for your children to work on during worship. If your infant starts to cry, we encourage you to take the child to the cry area outside the main worship area, so as not to disturb the other worshippers.
