Adult Groups and Classes

We believe that our Christian life is more fulfilling when we are continually growing and have supportive friends. So, we offer plenty of opportunities for you to participate in enriching groups, activities, and mission teams:

Parents-and-Kids Night – Come join our monthly gathering of parents, kids, and youth on the second Friday of every month. We eat pizza (and salad) at 5:45 p.m. Starting at 6:30 p.m., children and youth participate in fun activities, including games, crafts, and movies. Parents meet at 6:30 p.m. for informative and fun discussions about parenting and family relationships.

Disciple Bible Study – Meets weekly for an in-depth study of the Bible, Mondays, 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Upper Room Bible Study – Meets weekly for prayerful reflection on the Bible and our lives, Tuesdays, 10:00-11:00 a.m.

Come-as-You-Are Bible Study – Meets weekly for a lively discussion of one chapter of the Bible (currently studying the Gospel of John), Sundays, 10:15-11:15 a.m.

Music Groups – The Praise Team meets twice weekly to rehearse contemporary praise music, Tuesdays 8:00-9:15 p.m., and Sundays 8:00-8:45 a.m. The Praise Team provides weekly leadership in our 9:00 a.m. worship service. Singers and instrumentalists are welcome to try out. Other music groups are being formed, and soloists are welcomed also.

Mothers of Multiples – This community group provides fellowship, support, and outreach opportunities, for mothers of twins, triplets, and more! Meets on the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m.

United Methodist Women – Meets on the third Wednesday of each month, 7:00-9:00 p.m., for fellowship, study, and mission projects.

Grief Support Groups – Short-term groups are organized several times each year, meeting for 4 to 6 weekly sessions. Contact the church office for information on the next Grief Support Group.

Mission Teams – Mission teams are organized regularly for disaster recovery, international missions, and for local community service projects. Teams are continually being organized for ongoing projects in New Orleans (hurricane recovery), Bulgaria, and locally.

How do I get involved?

Opportunities for involvement – from small groups and volunteer opportunities to missions and music – are open to anyone who wants to participate. If you would like to connect with a group or get involved in an activity or mission, just speak to our pastor or to a greeter on Sunday morning – or contact the church office any weekday.
